Boogerman is one of those weird, gross-out Genesis games that somehow works. You play as this dude in a green suit who fights by picking his nose and flinging snot at enemies—yeah, it’s exactly as ridiculous as it sounds. The levels are full of fart jokes, burping mushrooms, and slimy pits that’d make a 12-year-old cackle.
At first, I thought the whole thing was just shock value, but the controls are actually tight for a platformer. You can burp to stun enemies or rip one mid-jump for an extra boost (classy, right?). The art style’s got this grimy comic book vibe, like someone spilled soda on a Ren & Stimpy cel. It’s dumb fun, but the kind you can’t help grinning at—especially when you unlock the super-powered "booger tornado" move later on.
Definitely not for everyone, but if you ever laughed at a fart noise unironically, this one’s worth a play.
