Boogerman is one of those weird, gross-out platformers that only the '90s could’ve spawned—and honestly, that’s why it’s kind of great. You play as this dude who literally weaponizes boogers, flicking them at enemies or using them as grappling hooks to swing across gaps. Yeah, it’s disgusting, but in that way where you can’t help but laugh.
The levels are packed with slimy, mucus-covered enemies and hazards, and your arsenal includes burps, farts (which can propel you upward, naturally), and—of course—an endless supply of snot rockets. The controls take a second to get used to, especially the timing on the booger swings, but once it clicks, it’s oddly satisfying. Just don’t play this one while eating.
It’s not the deepest game, but the sheer commitment to its gross-out humor makes it stand out. If you ever wanted to see what happens when a developer fully embraces the 12-year-old-boy demographic, this is it.
