About Battletoads & Double Dragon
Battletoads & Double Dragon came out for the Sega Genesis in 1993, developed by Rare and published by Tradewest. It was a crossover that felt right at home on the system, joining two popular franchises during the peak of side scrolling brawlers.
You control one of the Battletoads or Double Dragon brothers, fighting through screen by screen levels to stop the Dark Queen. The combat mixes punches and kicks with the Battletoads' signature morphing attacks, turning your fists into giant hammers or growing long legs for a powerful kick. You also get to use weapons like pipes and bats dropped by enemies. The game moves at a fast pace and the difficulty can be punishing, demanding quick reflexes to handle the swarms of foes. It feels chaotic and satisfying when you land a big combo and clear a packed screen.
