Alright, so Batman – Revenge of the Joker on the Sega Genesis is one of those side-scrollers that starts off simple—until it absolutely doesn’t. You’re Batman, obviously, swinging through Gotham with your cape flapping, punching thugs, and tossing batarangs like they’re going out of style. The first level eases you in, but by the time you hit the factory stage, the Joker’s goons start throwing everything at you—lasers, explosives, the works.

The soundtrack? Killer. That bassline when you’re jumping between platforms just feels like Batman. And the sprite work? For a Genesis game, it’s surprisingly slick—Batman’s animations are fluid, and the Joker’s grinning face is just the right amount of creepy.

Fair warning, though: some of those platforming sections are brutal. One wrong jump, and you’re plummeting into a pit of… whatever Gotham’s sewers are filled with. But when you finally corner the Joker at the end? Worth every death. If you’re into classic Batman or just love a tough-but-fair action game, this one’s a solid pick.
