This one's a weird little gem—Batman Forever on the Genesis, but the Japanese version plays totally different. You pick Batman or Robin (I always go Batman, obviously) and just start punching your way through neon-lit streets and creepy circus levels. The controls feel a bit stiff at first, but once you get the timing down for those awkward jump kicks, it's oddly satisfying.
What's cool is how they crammed in all these weird gadgets—you've got batarangs, a grapple hook that barely works right, and this weird electrified punch move that looks ridiculous but saves your butt against Two-Face's goons. The music's got that classic Genesis screechy synth thing going on too—you'll either love it or mute it after five minutes.
It's not the best Batman game out there, but there's something charming about how janky and over-the-top it is. Just don't expect the movie's plot to make any more sense here.
