Bass Masters Classic on the Genesis is one of those weirdly satisfying fishing sims that shouldn’t be as fun as it is. You pick your lure, cast into these murky pixelated lakes, and wait for that little tug on the line—then it’s all about not reeling too fast or you’ll lose the fish. The tournaments actually get tense, especially when you’re barely making weight before time runs out.

It’s got that old-school charm where the bass look like green blobs with fins, but the mechanics hold up. Pro tip: stick to plastic worms early on. The crankbaits look flashy but half the time the fish just ignore them. And yeah, the Master System version exists, but the Genesis one’s where it’s at if you want to actually see what you’re doing.

Definitely a niche pick, but if you’ve ever wanted to stress over virtual fish at 2 AM, this’ll do it.
