Bare Knuckle III is that classic Sega Genesis brawler where you just wade into crowds of goons and start swinging. The first level throws you right into it—some neon-lit back alley where punks with knives and baseball bats come at you in waves. You’ve got your basic punches, grabs, and a satisfying jump kick that sends dudes flying into trash cans.
What I love is how weighty the hits feel. There’s no fancy combos here—just raw, chunky punches that make you wince when they connect. The music’s all synth and bass, totally setting the mood for a late-night street fight. And yeah, it’s tough. By the second stage, you’ll be dodging pipes and learning real quick not to charge in blindly.
It’s one of those games where you can tell the devs knew exactly what they wanted: pure, unfiltered brawling with zero fluff. If you’ve got a Genesis lying around, this one’s still a blast to throw on when you need to vent some frustration.
