Man, Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II was one of those Genesis racers that actually made you feel like you were wrestling with a real F1 car. The handling’s twitchy at first—you’ll spin out a lot—but once you get the hang of feathering the throttle, it clicks. The tracks twist like Monaco’s real streets, all tight corners and barely-there runoff areas. And yeah, the graphics were blocky even for the time, but the sense of speed? Killer. You can almost smell the burnt rubber when you scrape the barriers.
Fun detail: Senna himself consulted on this one, so the physics have this weird mix of arcadey fun and "oh god why did I brake there" realism. Still holds up if you’re into old-school racing games that punish mistakes. Just don’t expect to win on your first try.
