If you're into Avatar: The Last Airbender, this DS game is a solid way to kill some time between episodes. You start off playing as Aang, tossing air blasts at Fire Nation grunts, but pretty quickly you unlock the whole gang—Katara’s water whips feel surprisingly good to use, and Toph’s earthbending actually has weight to it. The combat’s simple but satisfying, especially when you chain moves together.
Story-wise, it follows the show’s second season, so expect Zuko brooding in corners and Azula being terrifying. The pixel art holds up okay, though some of the backgrounds look a little rough now. My only gripe? The platforming bits can be janky—Aang’s jumps don’t always land where you’d expect. Still, if you’re craving more Avatar after binging the series, this scratches the itch.
