Arcus Odyssey came out for the Sega Genesis in 1991, developed by Wolf Team. It was part of that wave of action RPGs that tried to blend fast combat with exploration, a common goal for the system at the time. You get a choice of four characters, each with a different weapon, like a sword or a bow, and you set off into a world filled with monsters and dungeons.

You control your chosen hero through screen by screen areas, clearing out enemies and searching for the four pieces of the Triforce. The combat is straightforward; you just swing your weapon or shoot your projectiles at everything that moves. The pacing is quick, and the game can be quite difficult, demanding quick reflexes to survive the swarms of foes. It feels like a brisk, challenging trek through a dangerous fantasy landscape.
