Animaniacs on the Genesis is one of those weirdly fun licensed platformers that actually gets it right. You control Yakko, Wakko, and Dot—each with their own moves—and can swap between them anytime. Yakko’s got this weird lasso thing, Wakko smashes stuff with a mallet, and Dot… well, she’s basically a tiny wrecking ball with a jump attack. The levels are packed with cartoony chaos, like dodging falling anvils or bouncing on giant piano keys.

It’s not just running and jumping, though. Some sections force you to think about who to switch to—like using Wakko to break through walls or Yakko to swing across gaps. The art style nails the show’s vibe, and the music? Pure 90s nostalgia. Way better than it had any right to be for a game based on a cartoon.
