You pick your contender (I always went with the wrestler-looking dude) and get thrown into events like jousting on wobbly platforms or scaling that ridiculous wall while gladiators chuck stuff at you.

The controls are janky in that classic Genesis way—you'll overshoot jumps, get randomly clotheslined, and swear the AI cheats. But that's half the fun. The two-player mode turns into pure mayhem, especially in Powerball where you're basically just rugby-tackling each other for no reason. It's not deep, but man, does it nail that over-the-top TV energy.

Just don't expect to win on your first try. Those gladiators hit like trucks.
