Alien Storm came out for the Sega Genesis in 1990, developed and published by Sega. It was part of that wave of arcade-style games that felt right at home on the console, offering a quick, action-focused experience you could blast through in an afternoon.

You pick one of three characters: a soldier with a plasma rifle, a woman with an electric whip, or a robot with a flamethrower. Your job is to fight through city streets and alien-infested interiors, clearing each screen of monsters before moving on. The gameplay mixes standard run-and-gun shooting with first-person segments where you have to quickly shoot aliens bursting through doors. It is a fast, often chaotic game where enemies swarm from all directions, and the difficulty can spike without much warning. Playing it feels like being in a cheesy sci-fi B-movie where you are constantly on the edge of being overwhelmed.
