Man, The Adventures of Batman & Robin on Sega Genesis is a trip—it’s basically a side-scrolling shooter where you blast through waves of thugs as Batman or Robin. No slow detective work here, just non-stop action with gadgets and a surprisingly tough difficulty curve. The SNES version got the platforming treatment, but the Genesis one leans hard into the shoot-’em-up style, which honestly feels more chaotic in the best way.
You’ve got your batarangs, explosive gel, and even a grappling hook, but don’t expect to breeze through. Some of those boss fights? Brutal. And the soundtrack? Absolute fire—those synth beats still live in my head rent-free. The Sega CD version went all-in on Batmobile levels, but this one’s pure run-and-gun with Gotham’s finest. If you’re into fast-paced, arcade-style action with a side of ’90s Batman flair, this one’s a solid pick.
