So, The Addams Family on Genesis—yeah, it's one of those movie tie-ins, but honestly? It's way better than it had any right to be. You play as Gomez, bouncing around like a manic little gremlin (seriously, his jump is ridiculous), trying to rescue the family from their sleazy lawyer. The levels are full of that Addams weirdness—secret passages, creepy portraits, and the occasional exploding fireplace just because.
It's got that classic '90s platformer jank—some jumps feel way too floaty, and the hit detection can be brutal—but the atmosphere nails it. The music’s got that gothic harpsichord thing going on, and the sprites actually look like the movie characters. Not gonna lie, I died a lot figuring out where to go, but once you get the hang of Gomez’s weird movement, it’s weirdly satisfying. Definitely a hidden gem if you’re into that era of platformers.
