Action Replay (program) Game

Action Replay for the Genesis is basically a cheat device that lets you rewind time in your games—like having a save state before save states were a thing. I remember using it to cheese through Sonic levels when I kept dying at the same stupid jump, or to finally see what happens if you beat Streets of Rage with one credit. It’s not magic—some games glitch out if you rewind too much—but when it works, it feels like cheating in the best way.
You’ll poke around with codes, tweak values, and sometimes just break everything by accident. Half the fun is seeing how far you can push old games before they freak out. If you’ve got a Genesis collecting dust, this’ll make you play it differently. Just don’t blame me when you spend an hour trying to make Golden Axe characters float.
