Remember that weird but kinda awesome Nickelodeon cartoon with the monsters living under a city? This is the Sega Genesis game based on it, and it’s exactly as chaotic as you’d expect. You play as Ickis, Oblina, or Krumm—each with their own weird little abilities—running through gross, colorful levels while scaring humans for points. The controls take a second to get used to (why does jumping feel so floaty?), but once you figure out how to use each monster’s tricks, it’s a blast. Also, the soundtrack is weirdly catchy for a game where you’re basically a trash goblin terrorizing people.
Fair warning: some of the platforming is janky, and the hit detection can be brutal. But if you grew up with the show, the nostalgia alone makes it worth a play. Just don’t expect a polished gem—it’s a licensed 90s game through and through.
