ZooCube came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by PuzzleKings and published by Atlus. It was part of that wave of early GBA titles that explored what the handheld could do visually, using a Mode7 style effect to give its 3D shapes a sense of rotation on the small screen. It fit right in with the platform's growing library of puzzle games at the time.

You control a claw at the bottom of the screen, catching falling clusters of 3D animal blocks as they descend from the top. Your main goal is to match the sides of these blocks to complete animal shapes, which then vanish from the playfield. The core mechanics involve rotating the entire stack of blocks you are holding to find the correct orientation, then physically placing them onto the growing tower. The game starts calmly but the speed increases steadily, demanding quick decisions about where to slot each new piece. It feels like a race against a collapsing puzzle, where a single misstep can quickly spiral out of control.
