Zoku Bokura no Taiyou is one of those weird little GBA gems that flew under the radar. It's a sequel to Boktai, but with this odd caravan mode where you're basically a vampire hunter rolling through the desert in a mobile base. The whole sunlight gimmick is still there—your solar gun charges faster if you're actually playing in real sunlight (yes, the cartridge had a light sensor).

First thing you'll notice is how moody it feels for a handheld game—dusty towns, creepy crypts, and these tense stealth sections where you're dodging shadows. The caravan stuff adds this layer of strategy between missions, like managing supplies and upgrading your gear. I remember getting stuck for ages on one boss until I realized I needed to craft better ammo during daylight hours.

It's definitely janky in places (good luck finding a translation patch that makes total sense), but there's nothing else quite like it. The sunset-colored sprites still hold up surprisingly well.
