Zettaizetsumei Dangerous Jiisan was a Japan only Game Boy Advance release from 2004, developed by MileStone Inc. It came out during a time when the handheld was full of experimental titles, and this one certainly fits that description. You don't see many games built entirely around the concept of being a panicked old man.
You control a grandfather whose main goal is simply to get home, navigating a city that is actively trying to kill you. The gameplay is split between screen by screen exploration and quick time event sequences. You tap buttons frantically as they appear on screen to help the old man perform actions like climbing a ladder or running from a swarm of bees. One wrong move, or a moment of hesitation, usually results in a comical, often brutal failure. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving, demanding perfect timing and memorization. It feels like a constant, stressful race against your own reflexes.
