Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, published by Konami. It was part of a wave of portable card games that let you carry a whole deck in your pocket, a solid follow-up for players who had already spent time with the previous GBA title.

You control a duelist navigating a top-down world map, moving from location to location to challenge a wide roster of characters. Your main goal is to defeat duelists to earn new cards and build a stronger deck, eventually aiming to collect all the Egyptian God Cards. The game uses the familiar rules of the TCG, with mechanics like tribute summoning for high-level monsters and setting trap cards facedown to surprise your opponent. The pacing is methodical, as you slowly refine your strategy against increasingly difficult AI. It feels like a dedicated test of your deck-building skills and your ability to adapt on the fly.
