Play Yu-gi-oh! : Dark Duel Stories 2 Online

I picked up Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories 2 on the Game Boy Color back when it came out. Konami published it, and it was one of the few Yu-Gi-Oh! titles that made it to the West on that handheld. It arrived during a time when the card game's popularity was really taking off, so having a portable version felt like a natural step, even if the hardware had its limits.

You control a duelist traveling between locations, challenging opponents to card battles. The main goal is to build a powerful deck and defeat a series of rivals to become the champion. The game uses a password system to add cards from the real-world TCG, a feature I used constantly to test new strategies. Combat itself is menu-based, with you selecting monsters to summon and spells to activate from your hand. The pacing can be slow, especially with the random encounters, and the rules are a simplified version of the official game, which sometimes makes duels feel less complex. Despite that, there's a tangible satisfaction in finally assembling a combo that clears the field.
