If you're into the Battle City arc from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, this GBA game nails that vibe. You start off with a basic deck—nothing crazy, just enough to get wrecked by Weevil in the first duel if you're not careful. The overworld's got that classic top-down RPG feel where you wander around Domino City hunting for card shops and duelists dumb enough to challenge you.

What I like is how it sticks close to the anime’s story, but throws in some twists so it doesn’t feel like a straight rerun. The card pool’s decent for a GBA title, though don’t expect any crazy modern combos—this is old-school, back when Summoned Skull was still a flex. The duels can drag a bit if you’re used to faster formats, but there’s something satisfying about slowly building up your deck with random drops and shop buys.

Just don’t expect it to hold up against the later DS games. It’s rough around the edges, but if you’re nostalgic for early 2000s Yu-Gi-Oh!, this one’s a solid time capsule.
