Yggdra Union is one of those GBA strategy RPGs that feels like it should’ve gotten way more attention. You’ve got this mix of card-based tactics and grid battles where positioning actually matters—none of that "just throw units at the problem" stuff. The first time I played, I got wrecked because I didn’t realize how much the union system changes everything (hence the "We’ll Never Fight Alone" subtitle).
It’s got that classic Sting quirkiness—weird mechanics, anime melodrama, and a difficulty curve that’ll make you rethink your life choices. The art’s gorgeous for a GBA game, though, and once the combat clicks, there’s something really satisfying about chaining attacks with your squad. Just… maybe don’t expect to win on your first try.
