Yakusoku No Chi Riviera (or just Riviera if you're lazy like me) is one of those weird little GBA RPGs that sticks with you. At first glance, it's turn-based battles and dungeon crawling, but then you realize half your time is spent making choices that actually matter—who to trust, who to side with, even who to flirt with (because yeah, there's some light dating sim stuff in here).
Combat's got this cool twist where you manage a limited inventory of weapons that degrade with use, so you're constantly weighing "do I save this powerful attack for later?" against "I might die right now if I don't use it." And the pixel art? Still gorgeous—Sting went all out on those eerie, dreamy environments.
It's the kind of game where you'll reload a save because you accidentally pissed off the wrong angel girl and now she won't talk to you. Worth digging up if you like RPGs that do something different.
