Worms Armageddon came out for the Game Boy Color in 1999, developed by Team17. It was one of the more ambitious attempts to bring a complex turn-based strategy game to a handheld, arriving at a time when the platform was full of simpler arcade and puzzle titles.

You control a team of worms, taking turns with an opponent to eliminate the other side. The main objective is to destroy all enemy worms using a large arsenal of weapons, from bazookas and grenades to more unusual tools like exploding sheep. The terrain is fully destructible, so you can blast holes in the landscape to drop enemies into the water or bury them. Movement is tricky; you have to factor in wind strength when aiming shots and carefully navigate the crumbling stages. The pace is deliberate, with each turn requiring planning, and the difficulty can be punishing if you misjudge a jump or a shot. It feels like a tense, chaotic puzzle where a single mistake can turn the tide.
