About Woody Woodpecker No Go! Go! Racing (japan)
Woody Woodpecker No Go! Go! Racing came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed by Konami. It was one of many cartoon licensed games on the platform, a time when colorful, simple racers were common. You pick Woody or one of his friends and race through a series of tracks.
You control your chosen character from a top-down perspective, steering around winding courses. The main goal is to finish first in each race while avoiding obstacles and using items. Signature mechanics include collecting nuts scattered on the track to fill a boost meter; once full, you can activate a temporary speed burst. You also pick up random power-ups, like projectiles to hit opponents or shields for protection. The races are short and the controls are straightforward, though some tight corners can be tricky. It feels like a quick, chaotic dash from start to finish.
