Wizardry Summoner came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Kadokawa Shoten. It was part of that wave of Japanese RPGs that tried to bring complex, menu driven dungeon crawlers to a handheld screen. You don't see many games like it on the system, which was usually filled with more action oriented titles.

You lead a party of adventurers from a first person perspective, navigating grid based dungeons one square at a time. Your main goal is to explore these multi level labyrinths, fighting monsters in turn based battles and gathering the items you need to progress. Key mechanics include summoning creatures to fight alongside you and managing your party's limited resources, like spell points and health, carefully. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the dungeons can be quite difficult, demanding patience and mapping. It feels like a thoughtful, methodical test of your planning and endurance.
