Wizardry Empire - Fukkatsu No Tsue is one of those deep, old-school dungeon crawlers that somehow made it onto the Game Boy Color. You start by rolling up a party of six adventurers—fighters, mages, thieves, the usual suspects—but the customization goes deeper than you'd expect. I spent way too long tweaking stats before even stepping into the first dungeon.
The game doesn’t hold your hand. You’re immediately thrown into grid-based corridors, mapping as you go (or getting lost if you’re like me and forgot to bring graph paper). Combat’s turn-based, with that classic Wizardry flavor—miss an attack, eat a critical hit, panic when your healer runs out of MP. It’s brutal in the best way.
If you’re into retro RPGs with zero hand-holding, this one’s a solid deep cut from the GBC era. Just don’t blame me when your party wipes to a random encounter on floor two.
