Wendy: Every Witch Way is one of those GBC hidden gems that never got enough love. You play as Wendy, a good-hearted witch trying to rescue her friends from some seriously shady wizard dude. The pixel art has this cozy, storybook charm—think pastel cottages, floating broomsticks, and weird little mushroom people.
Gameplay’s a mix of light puzzles and simple spellcasting—you’ll be flipping switches, brewing potions (the ingredient combos are oddly satisfying to figure out), and occasionally zapping enemies with your wand. It’s not super hard, but some of the later levels actually make you stop and think for a sec. The music’s got that classic bouncy GBC vibe too—catchy in a way that sticks in your head after you turn it off.
Honestly, it’s the kind of game you’d rent as a kid and then regret not buying. If you’re into old-school handheld adventures with personality, this one’s a solid pick.
