Welcome Nakayoshi Park Game

Welcome Nakayoshi Park is one of those Game Boy games that feels like hanging out with old friends—if your friends were adorable pixelated animals in a pastel-colored park. You start off just wandering around, checking out the different areas, and before long some little critter will run up asking for help with something silly, like finding lost balloons or racing snails (yes, really).
The mini-games are simple but weirdly satisfying—there's this one where you bounce on mushrooms to reach high-up fruit that I kept replaying just for the perfect arc. And the music? Pure 8-bit serotonin, all tinkly melodies that stick in your head for days.
It's not exactly challenging, but that's kind of the point. This is the gaming equivalent of sitting under a tree with a juice box. If you miss that era when games just wanted to make you grin, Nakayoshi Park still delivers.
