Wanted (usa, Europe) Game

Wanted on the Sega Master System is one of those weird, janky gems from the late '80s that somehow sticks with you. You play as a cowboy—no fancy backstory, just a dude with a revolver—shooting your way through bandits in a side-scrolling, slightly clunky but oddly satisfying way. The controls take a minute to get used to (jumping feels heavier than it should), but once you adjust, there’s something weirdly fun about the way enemies pop when you hit them just right.
It’s not the prettiest or smoothest game out there, but the music’s got that classic chiptune twang, and the stages throw in just enough variety to keep you from getting bored. By the third level, you’ll either hate it or be weirdly into its rough-around-the-edges charm. I still fire it up sometimes when I want something simple but with a little bite.
