Man, WWE: Survivor Series on GBA takes me back. It’s not just another wrestling game—it’s got that chaotic, over-the-top energy of the actual WWE events. You start off picking from a roster of legends (The Rock’s eyebrow raise alone is worth it), and within seconds, you’re tossing guys out of the ring or landing a People’s Elbow. The controls are simple enough that you can button-mash your way to fun, but there’s actually some strategy if you dig into the grapple combos.
What surprised me was how well they crammed the spectacle into a tiny cartridge. The crowd chants, the dramatic entrances—even the referee’s over-the-top reactions when you cheat. It’s janky in that classic GBA way, but that just adds to the charm. Play it long enough, and you’ll start trash-talking your own matches. Not bad for a handheld brawler.
