About Uno (europe) (en,fr,de,es,it,nl)
I picked up Uno for the Game Boy Color back in 1999, a portable version of the card game developed by Realtime Associates. It was a solid choice for the system, fitting right in with other pick-up-and-play titles you could carry in your pocket. Having a digital Uno felt convenient, especially since it included multiple language options right on the cartridge.
You control your own hand of cards, matching colors or numbers with the one on the discard pile. The main goal is simple: be the first player to get rid of all your cards. Key mechanics include playing special action cards, like Skips or Reverses, to disrupt your opponents, and you can also stack Draw Two cards to pass a hefty penalty to the next person. The pacing is quick, with the AI providing a decent challenge that keeps you paying attention. It feels satisfying to lay down a well-timed Wild Draw Four and watch the computer struggle to catch up.
