Ueki No Housoku Shinki Sakuretsu! Nouryokumono Battle (j)(caravan) Game

Ever played Ueki no Housoku Shinki Sakuretsu! Nouryokumono Battle on the GBA? It’s one of those weird, underrated Japan-only fighting games based on the Law of Ueki anime. You pick characters with bizarre powers—like turning trash into trees or inflating people like balloons—and duke it out in surprisingly fast-paced battles.
The sprites are chunky but full of personality, and the controls are simple enough that you can pull off flashy moves without memorizing a million inputs. At first, I kept losing because I didn’t realize how much spacing mattered, but once it clicks, the fights feel chaotic in the best way. Definitely a hidden gem if you’re into anime fighters or just want something different from the usual GBA lineup.
You can find it floating around on emulators if you’re curious.
