Ty 3 on the GBA is exactly what you'd want from a handheld sequel—same boomerang-flinging action, but with a darker twist. This time, Ty's up against creepy Quinkan spirits invading the Outback, and the vibe's less sunny bushland, more eerie caves and ghostly enemies.
You start off with a few basic boomerangs (the classic ones still feel great to throw), but the new elemental types are where it gets fun. Tossing a frostarang to freeze enemies never gets old. The levels are bite-sized for portable play, though some of the platforming can be weirdly precise for a GBA game.
If you played the PS2 versions, don't expect the same open-world feel—it's linear, but the art style nails that Ty charm with chunky, colorful sprites. The music's got those familiar didgeridoo riffs too. Honestly, it's a solid pick if you're craving some early 2000s platforming nostalgia on the go.
