Ty 2 on the GBA is one of those sequels that actually improves on the original—more boomerangs, bigger levels, and way more of that weird Aussie charm. You start off chasing Boss Cass (again) after he kidnaps your Bush Rescue crew, and right away you're tossing boomerangs at robot crocs and hopping across floating platforms in the outback.
The controls feel tighter than the first game, and the new boomerang types actually matter—like the frosty one that freezes enemies solid. Some of the later levels get surprisingly tough, especially when you're trying to collect all those bloody golden cogs. And yeah, the voice clips still sound like someone recorded them through a tin can, but that's part of the nostalgia at this point.
If you played the original as a kid, this one hits all the same notes but with way more to do. Even the vehicle sections aren't terrible, which is saying something for a GBA platformer.
