Turok Evolution on the GBA tries to bring the console FPS experience to a tiny screen, and... well, it’s rough. You’ve got the same dinosaur-hunting chaos, but the controls feel cramped, and the foggy draw distance makes everything look like you’re squinting through soup. Some enemies just pop into existence three feet in front of you.
It’s not all bad—the weapons still have that satisfying Turok weight to them, and blasting raptors with a shotgun never gets old. But compared to the N64 originals or even the other console versions, this one’s clearly the runt of the litter. If you’re desperate for portable Turok, maybe give it a shot, but keep expectations low.
