Turok Evolution came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by RFX Interactive and published by Acclaim. It was part of a wave of attempts to bring console-style first-person shooters to the handheld, a challenging task given the hardware's limitations.

You control Tal'Set, a Turok warrior, navigating through jungles and ancient ruins from a first-person perspective. Your main goal is to stop the villainous Tyrannosaurus-like creature known as the Dinosoid Emperor. The gameplay involves screen-by-screen exploration, switching between a knife for close encounters and a bow for ranged attacks. You collect keys to unlock new areas and hunt for ammo and health pickups. The levels are often maze-like, and the controls can feel stiff, making some encounters more difficult than they should be. It feels like a condensed, sometimes clumsy, version of a much larger game.
