TransBot is one of those classic Sega Master System shooters that feels like it was designed to punish you—in a good way. You're the last pilot standing after some underground aliens wrecked everything, and now you're stuck blasting through waves of them in this side-scrolling shooter with a twist: your ship can transform mid-flight. One second you're in jet mode dodging bullets, the next you're in robot form dropping bombs. It sounds cooler than it is at first—took me a few deaths to figure out when to actually use each mode.

The levels get brutal fast, with enemies swarming from all directions, and the controls are just stiff enough to keep you on your toes. Not gonna lie, the first time I played, I got wrecked before even reaching the second stage. But there's something satisfying about finally nailing the timing on those transformations and clearing a tough section.
