About Top Gun : Firestorm Advance
Top Gun: Firestorm Advance came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, published by Titus Interactive. It was part of that early wave of GBA titles trying to bring more complex action games to a handheld. You are not flying a jet in this one; instead, you control a soldier on the ground, which was a different take for a Top Gun game.
You guide your character through a series of missions, moving screen by screen to clear areas of enemies. The main goal is to complete objectives like destroying specific targets or rescuing hostages. You use an assault rifle for most fights, and you can switch to a sniper rifle for picking off distant targets. The game moves at a steady pace, but the controls can feel a bit stiff, making some of the action sequences challenging. Playing it feels like managing a straightforward, sometimes clunky, military operation on a small screen.
