You control your own created skater, exploring the linked levels of the Sk8land park. Your main goal is to complete sets of challenges for the locals to earn their trust and restore the park's graffiti-covered walls. The core mechanics are pulling off trick lines to build your special meter and then spending it on massive, exaggerated special moves. You also hunt for collectibles like the letters S-K-A-T-E and hidden decks, which requires you to learn the nooks and ramps of each area. The game moves at a quick pace, and some of the objectives demand precise timing, especially when linking grinds and manuals. It feels like a constant, rewarding test of your ability to chain moves together without bailing.
