Tonka - On The Job (u)(rising Sun) Game

Ever wanted to drive a big yellow Tonka truck as a kid? This GBA game lets you do exactly that—just with way more dirt and way less risk of your mom yelling at you for tracking mud inside. You’re basically a tiny construction worker operating bulldozers, dump trucks, and cranes to move piles of sand, haul debris, and generally make a mess (the fun kind).
The controls are simple enough—no complicated combos here—but some of the later levels actually get pretty tricky when you’re balancing speed with not tipping your load everywhere. The graphics are blocky in that classic GBA way, but the trucks have that chunky, satisfying Tonka look. It’s not exactly a deep sim, but there’s something weirdly relaxing about methodically scooping and dumping virtual gravel for 20 minutes.
If you ever had a sandbox phase as a kid, this one’s a nostalgia trip with just enough challenge to keep it from feeling like a toy demo.
