About Tom & Jerry In Mouse Attacks!
I picked up Tom & Jerry in Mouse Attacks for the Game Boy Color back in 2000, a game published by NewKidCo. It was one of many licensed titles on the system, a time when you could find cartoon characters in all sorts of adventures. This one puts you in control of Jerry the mouse, with Tom as the constant obstacle.
You guide Jerry through a series of themed houses, screen by screen, with the goal of gathering pieces of a giant cheese. The main actions involve a simple jump and a tail spin attack to fend off smaller enemies. You also collect smaller cheese wedges to earn extra lives and find keys to unlock new areas. The game moves at a brisk pace, and some of the platforming can be tricky with its precise jumps. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes challenging, run through a familiar cartoon world.
