Okay, so Tom and Jerry in Infurnal Escape is basically the GBA trying its best to turn that classic cartoon chaos into a platformer. You switch between playing as Tom (clumsy but determined) and Jerry (tiny but annoyingly quick), each with their own levels and ways to mess with the other. The controls are simple—run, jump, throw stuff—but some of those later stages get surprisingly tricky when you're dodging traps or trying not to fall into bottomless pits.
It nails the vibe of the show, though. The sprites look like they jumped straight out of an old episode, and the music’s got that bouncy, mischievous energy. My favorite part? The kitchen level where you can fling frying pans as Tom or cheese wheels as Jerry. Feels exactly like the cartoon, right down to the way Jerry taunts you when he gets away. Just don’t expect anything deep—it’s pure, silly fun with a decent challenge if you go for 100% completion.
Honestly, it’s one of those games where you either love the chaos or get frustrated by how slippery the controls feel when you’re racing against the clock. But if you grew up with the cartoon, it’s a solid little nostalgia trip.
