Man, Titus the Fox is one of those weirdly charming Game Boy Color platformers that feels like it shouldn’t work but somehow does. You play as this fox trying to rescue his girlfriend (classic '90s premise) across levels that jump from Paris to Marrakech—lots of bright colors, weirdly detailed sprites for a GBC game, and traps that’ll trip you up if you’re not paying attention.
First few minutes? You’re dodging rolling barrels, hopping over pits, and figuring out how to stack crates to reach higher platforms. The controls are a little stiff at first, but once you get the hang of it, there’s something satisfying about the puzzle-like level design. Also, the music’s oddly catchy in that tinny Game Boy way.
It’s not the deepest game, but if you’re into old-school platformers with a dash of jank, this one’s got personality.
