Man, Titus the Fox on GBC is such a weird little platformer—in a good way. You play as this fox trying to rescue his girlfriend (classic 90s premise), but instead of just running and jumping, you’re constantly picking up random objects to solve puzzles. Like, why is there a giant rolling cheese in level 2? No idea, but you’d better push it onto a switch or you’re not moving forward.
The graphics are surprisingly bright for a Game Boy Color game, with these chunky, colorful sprites that give it a Saturday morning cartoon vibe. And the music? Weirdly catchy. I still hum the underground level theme sometimes.
It’s not super hard, but some of the puzzles will make you stop and think—like figuring out how to stack crates just right to reach a high ledge. And yeah, there’s treasure to grab, but half the fun is just seeing what ridiculous obstacle Titus has to deal with next. If you’re into quirky retro platformers, this one’s a solid time capsule.
