About Tiny Toon Adventures : Buster's Bad Dream
I picked up Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Bad Dream for the Game Boy Advance back in 2005, a time when licensed platformers were a staple on the handheld. It was published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and it felt like a familiar part of that library, a game you'd find alongside other cartoon adaptations on the system.
You control Buster Bunny through a series of side scrolling levels, jumping on enemies and breaking blocks to progress. The main goal is to rescue your friends from the clutches of the villain, Montana Max, who has trapped them inside his nightmares. A couple of mechanics stand out: you collect carrots scattered everywhere to earn extra lives, and you find special power ups that let Buster perform a ground pound to smash certain obstacles. The pacing is brisk, with some tricky enemy placements that can catch you off guard. It feels like a straightforward, energetic dash through a cartoon world.
