Alright, so Tintin: Temple of the Sun on Game Boy Color—this one’s a hidden gem if you grew up with the comics. You start off in this lush jungle, and right away, the pixel art nails that classic Tintin vibe. Snowy’s there, of course, sniffing around for clues while you tap A to interact with everything like a proper nosy reporter.
The puzzles are the real meat of it. Some are straightforward (push a crate, find a key), but others make you stop and think—like decoding symbols or figuring out which lever does what before a trap goes off. There’s this one room with rotating statues that had me stuck for way too long, but nailing it felt great.
And yeah, the nostalgia hits hard if you know the comics. Captain Haddock’s grumbling, Calculus muttering about inventions—it’s all here. The temple sections get surprisingly tense, especially when you’re dodging booby traps with that chiptune music ramping up. Not gonna lie, the controls feel a little stiff by today’s standards, but it’s got charm to spare. Worth dusting off your GBC for.
