Time Soldiers is one of those classic Sega Master System shooters where you blast through history—literally. You start off in prehistoric times, mowing down cavemen and dinosaurs with a machine gun (because why not?), then jump to medieval castles, ancient Egypt, and even World War II. It’s a straight-up port of the arcade game, so expect fast, chaotic action where enemies swarm from all sides.

The controls take a second to get used to—instead of a joystick, you’re stuck with the Master System’s D-pad, which makes diagonal shots a little awkward. But once you get the hang of it, there’s something satisfying about plowing through waves of enemies while rescuing your squad. Just don’t expect deep storytelling—this is pure, dumb fun with a time-travel excuse.
