Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a golf game on the GBA, but Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf surprised me. The swing mechanic is simple—hold the button to charge power, release to hit—but nailing the timing actually feels satisfying. Mess up, and you’ll watch your ball veer straight into the rough (or worse, a water hazard).
The courses are basic but decently varied, with some sneaky slopes that’ll mess with your putts if you’re not careful. Tiger’s there, of course, along with a handful of other pros, though they’re mostly just names on a roster. The real fun comes from trying to shave strokes off your game—it’s the kind of thing where you’ll swear you’ll quit after one more round, then suddenly it’s been an hour.
It’s not flashy, but if you’re into handheld sports games, this one’s got that old-school charm. Just don’t blame me when you rage-quit after missing an easy putt.
